About
The therapeutic relationship can be a unique experience which is created by establishing positive rapport and trust. This relational approach is the basis for the work that I do and I find that this can be achieved by creating a feedback process between each other to ensure genuine communication. I am an active participant in the therapy session to help promote healthy exploration and insight into negative patterns or recurring themes that are coming up in the process. Identifying the root of emotional distress can oftentimes be challenging yet building resiliency is doable as you will receive positive and consistent support in the process.
I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from Portland State University and a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I specialize in treating teenagers, young adults, and adults and knowledgeable of issues facing LGTBQIA2S+ and gender questioning folks. Additionally, I have training and clinical experience in Interpersonal Neurobiology, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I utilize Attachment and Family Systems Theories.

What I Provide
Therapy
I provide individual therapy via telehealth or in person at my NW office which are offered on Monday afternoons. Below are examples of common topics that come up in therapy:
anxiety
depression
gender affirming care
adjusting to major life changes
sexual/emotional/physical trauma
relationship issues (romantic, familial, platonic)
shame and guilt
family of origin relationships
I am an ally for the LGBTQIA2S+ community and I practice as a sex positive therapist familiar with the complexities of atypical interpersonal and romantic ethical non-monogamous relationships.
Supervision
I also provide clinical supervision for CSWA's and LPC interns with board approval. Consultation services are also available.
Free Consultations
I offer a free 20 minute video consultation as well as a limited sliding scale payment appointments for those who are financially eligible. Payment is due at the time of service by cash, check, or card and will be discussed when the appointment is set.
